House of Worship Audio Translation & Auditory System
To assist congregants who aren’t fluent in English, an audio communications system that allows people from all cultures to hear the sermon in their native language – in real time – can help grow your church membership. For those church members who have hearing aids or cochlear implants, they have the option to use a special neck loop that plugs into the receiver and slips over their necks. The neck loop electromagnetically generates a signal, transmitting it wirelessly to hearing aids or cochlear implants that use T-Coil technology.
Because the receivers are easily programmed to a different frequency, they can be used interchangeably for both hearing-impaired and foreign language-speaking church members.
Benefits of the Communication System
Congregations can utilize the two RF transmission systems to meet the needs of their church’s hearing-impaired members and diverse language ministry to serve an expanded population while ensuring the message is clear. Translation and digital hearing devices are hands-free and can be used indoors or outdoors in all types of sound environments.

Translation vs. Interpretation
There are several important differences between translation and interpretation. Translation devices use computer tools and software to relay information from the source language to the target language. There is a lag between receiving and translating which makes them impractical for “live” situations.
Language is nuanced and reflects culture, society, values, and beliefs. That’s why for live, real-time situations human interpretation using two-way communication devices is superior to translation devices. These devices do not perform the translation. They require a human interpreter who listens to the source message, then translates the information to a selected group on the communication device. The interpreter can be on-site or remote.
With a communication device for interpretation, all congregants can hear the sermon in their native language and worship together.
