Case Systems Incredibly Happy With New Tour Audio System

Marketing Manager Nina Neuschuetz remembers the exact moment when she realized that her employer, caseworks producer Case Systems, should invest in a tour audio system.

The company’s executive team had just taken a tour of a metal fabrication facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and their guide used an audio communication system to conduct the tour. “In spite of high noise levels inside the plant, the audio system allowed us to hear every word the guide said,” Neuschuetz recalls. “When we walked out of the facility we all agreed that we needed a system like that for our factory tours!”

As soon as Neuschuetz returned to company headquarters in Midland, Michigan she began looking for an audio system for their tours. An in depth consultation with Tripp Communications Systems about Case System’s needs – and a chance to demo the system herself – and she was sold on a two-way wireless tour system.

“Hands down, the two-way communication solution was by far the most flexible and easy to use.”

“Tripp Communications Systems spent a lot of time with me, learning about our company, asking questions about the tour environment, and determining the best equipment configuration for our specific application,” says Neuschuetz. “When we received the audio system they were there for us with 24-7 phone support, and helped us set up everything just the way we needed it.”

Tour Audio System for Noisy Environments

Case Systems is a nationally recognized manufacturer that designs and builds custom cabinets, countertops and storage solutions for specialty markets that include healthcare, K – 12 schools, higher education, and commercial applications. In the same manufacturing facility Case Systems’ sister company BOSTONtec builds height-adjustable workstations for the fulfillment, industrial, and laboratory market.

For over a decade the company has been conducting tours for its dealers, of its 170,000 square-foot manufacturing facility. All of Case System’s cabinets are put together by hand, and tours give visitors a close up look at the process, from start to finish. But the tools used in the assembly – saws, banding machines, and welding equipment – make the tour environment extremely loud.

Now, with the new two-way audio communications solution, tour guides can make themselves heard over the din of the machinery without raising their voices. In turn, participants can listen and respond to both the guide and other members of the group with the simple press of a button

Impact of Advanced Hearing Solutions

“Hands down, the two-way communication solution was by far the most flexible and easy to use of all the systems we looked at. It also operates on its own digital channel so we don’t have to worry about interference from all the walkie-talkies in use at a nearby construction site,” Neuschuetz says.

Neuschuetz knew the new tour guide system would make a big impact but didn’t know just how big until one of their dealers commented: “I learned so much on this tour! I’ve been on four of your plant tours over the years and this was the first time I’ve been able to hear anything!”

Dealers also say they like the new audio system because they can hang back to look at products up close, or talk with employees if a project of theirs is running through the production line – all without missing a word of what the tour guide is saying.

Audio Tour Equipment Lease and Rental Options

Recently Case Systems was selected to be on the University of Michigan’s 2018 Road Scholars Itinerary. The program, a five-day traveling seminar for thirty members of the U of M’s faculty, is designed to educate participants about issues that include the challenges facing private companies in Michigan.

Neuschuetz was able to handle this large tour group on short notice by taking advantage of the Tripp Communications’ rental program, and leasing – instead of purchasing – an additional 30 transceivers and headsets. “They came on time, they were well packaged, and we shipped them back with no problem. And we got fantastic feedback from the Road Scholars on the headsets!” says Neuschuetz.
