The distinctive nature of the ListenTALK audio tour guide system is its easy to use, one-way or two-way capability: The transceiver is worn on a lanyard around the tour guide’s neck, accompanied by a headset with a microphone. Hands are free—no handheld audio microphone or tethered speaker to lug around and hold up for everyone to hear. Tour attendees wear the audio transceiver around their necks accompanied by an earphone, and speak into the unit’s microphone, with a push of a button, when they have questions or comments. There is an option to only allow tour attendee’s questions to be heard by the presenter rather than the whole group, so the presenter can tailor their message accordingly.
